Cheeky is a 2019 born standard donkey and a big personality around the farm.

Getting a donkey had always been on the bucket list, and then I ran into a man showing donkeys at the 2020 Koorawatha Show and we got talking about them. A few weeks later, I was out at his place picking one from the herd, and ended up with weanling jenny "Cheeky" - coincidentally the same donkey I had watched him show the day I'd met him.

She settled in very quickly and is so smart and willing. Although she is primarily a pet, she has been branded and registered with DABSA Inc. and while we get to enjoy the odd real show, she also did a few online shows during COVID-19 lockdown.
 

SHOWS:

Cheeky attended the Cootamundra Donkey Show in June 2021. She was such a good girl as always.

She was also warmly welcomed at a few YAWBA all breeds shows during 2021.

And in 2022 she went to the DABSA Donkey National Show where we had a crack at everything and were ultimately awarded the Encouragement Award.

Cheeky also attended Koorawatha Show in 2022 and 2023.

2023 and 2024 also saw us back at the DABSA Donkey National Show in Young NSW.
